Websites & Writing

I have been running and maintaining websites since I was 12 years old. I started with creating fan sites, such as Sonic Fan Games HQ and Secrets of Sonic Team, which are still running today!

In 2007 I created XBLAH, a website dedicated to news and interviews for Xbox Live Arcade games. This allowed for the opportunity to run Gamerbytes, a sister site to Gamasutra, where I expanded to also inlude Wii and PlayStation 3 downloadable games. Even went to E3 in 2009 as a writer, which was certainly a highlight.

Gamerbytes got brought back under Gamasutra in 2012, where I continued to write about digital download games. I was well known for writing long sales analysis articles for XBLA games. Apparently Microsoft used my numbers themselves, which is pretty neat.

I currenly run two popular Tumblr Blogs, which I have a Patreon which helps me support them:

Old Game Mags is a blog where I post articles and advertisements from old video game magazines of the 90's. It's an incredibly popular blog with over 25,000 followers.

The Video Game Art Archive is where I scan and extract old video game artwork from manuals and magazines at a high resolution, clean them up, and release to the world. I post a lot of art that has never had a good scan online before, such as F-Zero and Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
